P-51D Mustang 44-74409

Built at Inglewood, California in 1945 and now painted in the colours of Captain Donald Emerson USAAF, who was shot down aged 21 over Belgium on Christmas Day, 1944.

This Mustang is currently on display at the RAF Museum, London.

    I had a little Mustang model bought at WH Smiths when I was about 8 or nine.It was a pale blue.Used to love it.
