B17 Flying Fortress
Hi there Ian.This is a cracker.Quite poignant having seen all those crash sites.Did they actually fly ?

I think The Memphis Belle is on telly tonight too.
Beauty of a shot, I take it that this is a flying "flying fortress" rather than a static example. The detail when viewed large is excellent.

Yeah, this baby took to the air shortly after. They are reenactors though.
