All on board were killed when this Dakota crashed while on a routine flight from Leicestershire to Glasgow, 24 July 1945. RAF Leading Aircraftman Main was a passenger.

The light reflecting off the wreckage is tremendous , the textures combined with the light makes the wreckage appear very solid and substantial.
I do like that light revealing all the rivets on the side and making it look like a piece of armour dropped by some giant.
Cheers both. I had to fiddle about with it, should’ve taken longer over trying to get the light right, was too lazy to put the polarising filter on.
Re; the wreckage, you notice that panel has been missing for years, but in my head I thought this was more complete as well.

I think the texture brings a great ambiance to the image
Agree the light on this Ian is fabulous… when you stand at the side of what little there is there… you make it look quite substantial.

Sorry you’re not keen on the texture. If honest, I am going to have to go on a texture diet, I struggle to resist using them now. In this instance, it covered a washed out distant landscape. Had I got it right in the first place, I may not have needed the texture…
