Visit 16 July 2022, sunrise

Visit to the crash site of ‘Over-Exposed’ at dawn. The weather forecast was for clear skies but you can never really predict how it will be on Bleaklow. A heavy bank of cloud covered the moor but as the sun rose at 5am, the low cloud lifted a little. In these conditions, the crash site is quite an ethereal and beautiful place. The cloud thickened again and did not lift till 7.30 when the first other visitors started to arrive. I don’t know who put the US flag there but it’s always good to see.
