German Military Cemetery, La Cambe, Normandy, France
Figures of two mourning parents beneath a black cross. The remains of nearly 300 soldiers are buried in this tumulus which is maintained by the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge.
Well captured monument.

Yes, very imposing.
1-2-3 History
Impressive. I’m sorry to have seen so few war memorials in Europe, let alone those of the "other" side.

like it!, very strong.
Nice shot, Ian. I’m only a bit concerned with something which clearly seems to be a ballistic missile, in the upper right corner of the picture! 😉

A most impressive monument, definately imposing and I can only guess, quite powerful in its presence .. having nearly 300 soldiers buried within I would find intimidating and saddening.
Interesting monument
Thanks Graham, good to see you again.
