RAF Elvington

“Whilst at Elvington, 77 Squadron lost 82 aircraft and 450 aircrew (Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders as well as British) and this comprised more than half their fatalities during the whole war.”

   Makes me glad that I was in the army,I could hide behind a fag packet if I had to.Not WW2 but later.Still,I DID a fair amount of active service though.A big thank you to all that served in any branch of the armed forces and civilian organisations in any capacity at any time.
