The Red Arrows – Walkpast at Waddington Air Show 2013

Those speaker poles got in the way of lots of shots.

Good to see the Red Arrows get a warm round of applause as they walked by but it was bad timing to do this in the middle of the Patrouille de France display!

Below; up above.

Walkpast…? Is that was health and safety has come to these days 😉

Great drama in the aerial shot, like the parting of the waves

Lol, yeah. Aviation fuel costs being so high, the crew walking past in formation – or doing individual displays of stunt walking – could be something we see more of in future.

    LOL ‘walking past in formation’.
poor buggers, given the speeds they are used to operating at, they must have felt very human here, troweling through the grass. great team shot, great that they all bear smiles.

Nice to get a different perspective Ian – they did a great display and that split manouevre is quite something to see and you caught it beautifully (funny I just put same on from YV).

Been trying to find the origin of ‘Gypo’ but apart from the leader stating it rhymes with hippo no-one seems to know. As for Enid – well we all do…? 🙂

Bloody hell Ian – I know we are suffering from cutbacks at the RAF but a walkpast !

  6. “Red 3? Is that smoke your trailing or last nights Curry?
