USAAF C-47 43-48473

SAAF C-47 43-48473 crashed into the crags at Craig y Dulyn in North Wales on November 11 1944, with the loss of all on board. The aircraft was being flown from France to the American depot at Burtonwood, but due to bad weather pilot 2nd Lt William Gough was instead instructed to divert to RAF Valley, about 25 miles WNW of this place.
