Not sure if this Lanc flew the most operations or whether it had the second highest tally? I’ve a book that states R5868 flew more operations than any other. Only about 35 Lancasters flew and survived more than 100 operations.

    lovely shot of my fav ever aircraft,anywhere,ian..one had more ops but was demolished after the war…gawd knows why…like the prat that scrapped gibsons dambuster lanc….

    Replaced this photo after realising I’d uploaded the wrong (slightly out of focus) one. Though I wish I’d left well alone. This was the original.

    We were at the national museum of flight last saturday, rubbish for pictures but great to see.
